The Mandate

The transition of Siemens Gamesa’s India and Sri Lanka business into Vayona was driven by a clear strategic intent. The new entity needed to establish itself as a fully integrated onshore wind energy company—serving utility-scale developers, independent power producers, and institutional investors across India and South Asia.

Built on the industrial and technological foundation of Siemens Gamesa’s wind business in the region, the brand had to communicate a precise mandate: to scale responsibly, perform consistently, and create durable value across the asset lifecycle. The challenge was to translate this into a brand that could carry both legacy credibility and future ambition—without dependence on its former identity.

Strategic Foundation

The starting point was to align the brand with the business model it was built to represent. This was not a product company or a single-service provider, but an integrated player operating across the wind energy lifecycle.

The brand therefore needed to express:
• Scale and operational capability
• Consistency in performance
• Long-term value creation

Working closely with leadership, we defined a positioning that moved away from legacy association and toward a more self-assured, system-led identity — one that reflects both engineering depth and strategic intent.

Naming the Shift

The name retains a clear connection to the core of the business, while moving away from literal or regional constructs. It is designed to feel contemporary, scalable, and distinctive across markets.

This balance allows the brand to stay rooted in its domain, while positioning itself as forward-looking and internationally relevant.

Vayona was created to signal energy, movement, and continuity. It carries a contemporary, global character while remaining distinct from the legacy brand.

The name establishes independence, while still resonating with the sector it operates in. It is simple, scalable, and designed to hold across markets and contexts.

Identity System

The identity was built to reflect an integrated and performance-driven business. The visual language combines precision with flow—structured, yet dynamic.

Designed for consistency across applications, the system works across industrial environments, corporate communication, and digital interfaces. It reinforces the idea of a brand that is engineered, reliable, and forward-looking.

Website as the Brand

The website became a critical expression of the new mandate. As the primary interface for developers, partners, and institutional stakeholders, it needed to clearly communicate the breadth of Vayona’s capabilities across the wind energy lifecycle.

We approached the platform as a strategic build. The architecture was redefined to reflect an integrated business—moving beyond fragmented product narratives to a more cohesive, solution-led structure. Content was developed to articulate scale, capability, and lifecycle value with clarity, while maintaining the technical depth expected by industry audiences. The design translated the identity into a digital system built on structure, precision, and restraint, ensuring that the experience felt engineered rather than embellished. Development focused on performance, responsiveness, and scalability, enabling the platform to support both current communication needs and future expansion.

The result is a digital experience that establishes credibility, simplifies complexity, and communicates the brand’s integrated nature with clarity.
